San Antonio, Texas

San Antonio, Texas is a charming city located in the northern central part of Texas.   It is the seventh largest city in the United States, home to nearly 2 million people, and the second largest city in the state.

The climate in San Antonio is exceptionally pleasant, having hot, dry summers and cool winters.   The city experiences a few freezes each year, but rarely sees any snow.

San Antonio differs from many of the other major cities in Texas in that the city center has developed into a more urban setting, with tall buildings and modern architecture. Though it has become a very modern city, San Antonio still holds on to its deep historic American roots.

It is a wonderful cultural center, and there are a number of things to see and explore.  There is SeaWorld San Antonio, Six Flags and the famous River Walk, lined with fun shops and restaurants, that winds through the city.   And a picture of San Antonio would not be complete without the mention of the historic Alamo. The Battle of the Alamo was fought 1836 and has been a legendary tale of American history ever since. The city also prides itself with its NBA team, the San Antonio Spurs.

From outdoor adventures to the traditional Tex-Mex cuisine, San Antonio is a Mecca for southwestern culture, all with a modern touch.
